Sys Admin (Microsoft)

Microsoft Server Administration:

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Proficiency in managing Active Directory, including domain controllers, group policies, user accounts, and organizational units.

Experience with server roles and features, such as DNS, DHCP, file sharing, and print services.

Understanding of server virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V and VMware vSphere.

Cloud Services (Azure/O365):

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking.

Experience with O365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.

Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

Proficiency in monitoring server performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing proactive measures.

Experience with system maintenance tasks, such as patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning.

Knowledge of system monitoring tools and techniques.

Scripting and Automation:

Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automating administrative tasks, managing configurations, and troubleshooting issues.

Experience with other scripting languages or automation tools is a plus.

Other Essential Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical support.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, MCSA: Windows Server) are highly desirable.
